Hello, I am now being called Trixy. I am an 8 yr old lady, and lady does apply to me. I am housetrained, have wonderful manners, walk well on leash. I really do love to walk. I am a very playful and energetic 8 yr old, but do love to take time out laying on the couch. I also know what your bed is for and have made myself handy on it as well. I am a beautiful semi-flashy brindle girl with cropped ears and docked tail. We are still trying to see what commands I know since I have only been here for 2 days, but am very well mannered. I met some of the neighborhood kids yesterday and loved laying my head on their lap and taking a short snooze. I also get along well with other dogs and they are going to be testing me with the kitty shortly. I didn't show a problem with the kitties at the shelter I came from.

Taylor is a very beautiful 18 month old dark brindle boy. He is crate trained, house trained and loves attention. Taylor loves to rough house and play "big boy" style so little tikes need not apply. When it is time to settle down, Taylor does an excellent job of picking up that cue. Taylor is a very curious guy and has been known to "counter surf" in the absence of supervision. But his foster mom is working on that with him. Taylor is a great companion............is his forever home with you?

Shelby is doing just great.~ We changed her name to "Addie" because "Shelby" is Sara's sister's nickname.~ She is the best dog in the world and everyone loves her to pieces.~ She has never had an accident in the house and she is doing great in sleeping in her crate at night.~ We take her for walks everyday, and she does great on them.~ She follows us wherever we are in the house.~ She is~so~laid back and easy going. Hi ya, I am now being called Brody. I am a beautiful dark mahongany color of fawn and am approximately 3-4 years old. I just came into the program so not much is known about me yet. I will be scheduled for my vetting and something called a neuter. They are also going to be testing me with the kitty soon and the other dogs here to see how I do. They do know that I am scared right now, but am very sweet. I do like to be loved and so far seem to be doing well. I can't tell them if I am housetrained or not or if I even like the crate, but they will find out shortly. I do understand about the big fluffy doggy bed and what the couch is used for. Nadia is a 5 month old terrier mix girlie. She is up to date with her vaccines and will be spayed at 6 months of age. She is a wonderful little bundle of cuddles. She loves to cuddle and be held by you more than anything. She was taken to the shelter to be euthanized by her owner because she tore things up in the house when left out uncrated. Thank goodness we were there to pick up the other puppies and our volunteer talked the lady into keeping her for a few days until we could get a foster home lined up. Nadia is a very sweet and loveable little bundle of joy.

Hi, I am Shorts, the Rat Terrier, because I am very small comparied to the boxer kids here. I am about the size of a pug and would make a wonderful lap baby. I get along very well and love playing with the female boxers here and even most of the males, they seem to enjoy playing with me also. I appear to be fully housetrained and will be updated on my vaccines and neutered prior to placement. I crave your attention and love a good lap to lay in. I get along well with older children and of course the females here. I also don't bother the kitty here in my foster home, I did bark at it a couple times but did not bother it. Hi there, I am Logan.  I am in the process of learning my new name since they don't know what it use to be.  I was lost and when animal control picked me up my family didn't come to claim me.  I am very thankful that the rescue ladies found me and gave me a foster home.  I seem to be fully housetrained, crate trained, and get along very well with other dogs.  I even like cats.  I am a very loving and gentle boy for all of my 9-10 months of age.  I love riding in the car with you and laying on the couch cuddled next to you.  I even like cuddling with the lady boxer here in my foster home.  I have shown no aggression issues at all, not over toys, food, water, attention, none, I am just about perfect according to my foster mom.  I have been known to jump over a 4' chain link fence to go play with the kids down the street, so a 6' privacy fence will be for me or I must be leash walked.  I am just about the most perfect young fellow you can find.

I am a 9 month old, beautiful, rich mahogany girl.  I have natural ears and a docked tail.  I am crate trained and working on house manners.  I do ok on a leash but my foster mom is working with me to improve my leash skills.  I have lots of energy and love to play.  A nice boxer brother would suit me well as long as he isn't too dominant.  I may be just a bit bouncy for young children but I would do well with those over 12.  I am heartworm negative, have had all shots and am going to be spayed here shortly and then I will be ready for my forever home.  As soon as they get a pic of me - I will be gone, you see, I have an absolutely stunning face.  My foster mom thinks I am one of the most beautiful boxers she has ever seen.

Update 5-24-05:  I have learned some manners and actually listen quite nicely now but will still take a very special owner.  I still get into things but do leave it when my foster mom tells me to.  I can sit and down on command and do a fairly good stay.  I still get very excited when someone comes to visit but doing so much better.  I love being outside on these nice spring days, especially if there is a jolly ball available.  I love playing toys with my foster mom and will take them to her to tease her into playing with me.  I love getting lots of attention and have come to like being loved on.  I like to lay in my foster moms lap when she is in the recliner, ahhhh what a treat.  I am very well housetrained, crate trained and love having my kong in the crate.   I am still waiting for just the right family to come for me.  Thank you,                  Still waiting in KY: Cooper

Ladybug is doing wonderful with us. We are so happy to have her. She is very smart. Monday night while I was in the bath tub, I looked
up and she had my towel in her mouth (which was right next to the tub), and carried out of the bathroom into my bedroom. I laughed my head off at her. Junior continues to be quite taken with her. Good thing they are both fixed. She is getting ton's of hugs and kisses. I kiss her almost every time I walk past her. She has her mastectomy and will be checked for allergies on 9/29. I will let you know the pathology report and allergy report. I still have her on her wellness fish and potato untill I get the allergy report back. Well, I will let you go for now.   Hello, My name is Lady, or I seem to come to who ever calls me that, so the rescue ladies think that may actually be my name. I am a 8-9 year old flashy girl. I have been used as a puppy machine and then discarded. The rescue ladies think I am just beautiful and I try to repay them by giving all the love and kisses I can. I am so happy to be back in a home where I can lay on the couch and sleep on the bed. I am fully housetrained, and getting along with the other dogs here, so far. They will be testing me with the kitty very shortly. They do know that I am very well mannered, gentle, and very loving. I love everyone, especially if they give me a little attention. They also found out that I pull on the leash quite a bit and told me we are going to have to work on that. I am so thankful to be out of the shelter and into a home where someone cares for me and loves me. They have said there will be no more puppies for me and I believe them. I will be getting my vetting done very shortly. I have heard the other dogs talking about having a new family of their very own to love them and care for them. I get along wonderful with the other boxer kids here of either sex, however I do chase the kitty and would do better in a home without one. My foster mom does know that I know what her bed is for and the couch to. I do like to ride in cars and rode home from the shelter very well, I do not climb everywhere but sit very nicely looking out the back window. I was so good. Icky Ricky Needs Your HELP

The wonderful rescue ladies could not let me meet what my ultimate fate would have been.  They are saving me, but we need your help to get me healthy again.  I know that I am not pretty now, but they seem to think I will be again once they can get all the health issues worked out.

I am Penny, I am now approximately 7 months old and have a gorgeous brindle coat.  I am housetrained and crate trained.  It is assumed that Vinnie and I are litter mates, he was found 2 days earlier than me.  We were dumped out in the country to fend for ourselves.  None of the neighbors know anything about us or who may have had puppies.  Thank goodness a very nice lady found us and called the rescue people.  That was the best day of our young lives to be safe and cared for.  I really suprised the rescue ladies when they took me on a visit, I love kids and even toddlers and do very well with them.  I love to investigate everything.  I found this other furry thing that is much bigger than me to play with, I bark at it and try to play but it just hisses and swats at me, then jumps on the back of the couch.  The rescue people said they will find us a good home, so we are ready and waiting.  Sure hope it won't be long, I need a new place to check out.

I can't believe we have had our Ellis for 1 year now!! It seems like he has always been a part of our family. I tell everyone about him, just like I do our kids. Ellis is a wonderful addition to our family. We can't thank you enough for bringing him to us. He is very happy and a little fat but all in all he is great. Ellis loves to play with the kids and snuggle with us at night. He has made a permenant sleeping buddy with our little boy. He is very at home and knows where he is loved. Sandie, try to forgive me,I am new at typing and email. What I neglected to say was that little bitt is putting on weight and growing beautiful hair. She loves belly scratches and body massages. She stretches out her paws soooooo cutely when she wants to go outside. She has only made one mistake on the carpet since we;ve had her. I am Little Bitt, I am a purebred Peke and am 7 years old.  I know my hair cut doesn't make me look that cute, but they had to take me to the groomers to get all the mats out and this is the best they could do.  I am a very shy and timid little girl because my life so far just hasn't been that great.  I would love to have a home where I can be treated as a queen.  A very nice older couple or single adult would be great for me, I require very little lap space.  I would prefer a home without young children, they are to roudy for me and I don't want to feel I have to hide all the time.  I am up to date on all my vaccines and spayed, I am just waiting for my new lap.          Sincerely,    Little Bitt

Hi, sorry I've been so long in getting back to you.  Things have been crazy around here with the holidays.

Dusty is doing really well.  He is positively ROTTEN.  He has taken over not only our couch, but my son's bed as well.  They both sleep in this small toddler bed, either Dusty on top of him, or he's on top of Dusty.  I have some cute pictures, including one of the baby kissing Dusty on top of the head while Dusty has his head on his lap.  He loves everyone, and anyone who sits on "his" couch gets sat on top of by Dusty. He is so very playful and loves to wrestle with my husband (I guess he knows he's the big guy and can take it, he doesn't try with me or any of the kids). 

He is really doing well, and despite all of us, our cars, and all our friends being covered in white hair, (we do not wear dark clothing anymore) we are really really in love with the guy.  Everyday we wonder why someone wouldn't want him in their home, as he makes such a good addition to ours.  He occasionally gets in a scrabble with Eva, usually over food (the babies starting to eat solids, and he drops things on the floor) but we still separate them to feed them, and its working out fine.

I just wanted to let you know that we LOVE Mary Jane. She is a perfect fit with our family and seems to be very happy with us. She is quite content to sleep on my bed most of the day, but equally happy playing outside on my Mom's farm with the other dogs. She has perfect manners and even lets the cat eat out of her bowl. Houston is a beautiful purebred Pitt Bull Terrier.  He is approximately 11-12 months old and is very friendly.  He seems to play well with other dogs, loves everyone.  Houston is not a cat or other farm type animal guy and will need a home without them.  Due to his breed, only applicates that are very familiar with this breed will be considered for his adoption.  Houston will also be required to attend Basic Obedience Classes with his new family, he is attending puppy class at the current time.  More will be posted later as we learn more about Houston.

Hi yeah, I am Rockco. I am 4 year old Purebred Pug but only act about 1 (MAYBE). I enjoy playing with the other dogs here in my foster home and they don't mind that I am small. When I wear one out there is always another to play with. I also enjoy laying next to you or in your lap when resting, you may also find me curled up with one of the boxers at my foster home. I get along great with cats and love kids of all ages. I am the perfect house companion, crate trained, house trained, have good house manners (of course I am to little to reach the counter tops like the boxers do and rely on them to surf it for me). I came into rescue with one of my eyes removed but see fine without it, most people don't even notice. My foster mom says I am the cutest, most lovable little cuddle bunny around. I am a very beautiful little lady, well maybe not quite the lady yet, that comes with a little age,  and I do have an underbite that sometimes my bottom teeth will show similar to an English Bull Dog's. The manners are the hardest for a young girl like me. I am very playful and enjoy a good game of chase me. The rescue ladies will be posting more as they learn about me.

Hi, my name is Sambo.  I am a 2 year old fully hearing white boy with lots of energy!!  I am house trained, crate trained, and know a few basic commands.  I am a very happy boy that loves to play with all things like dogs (male and female), kids I just love them.  My most favorite thing in the world is to give kisses...I am really good at that.  I am up to date on my shots and have already been neutered, so now all I need is my new forever home, could that be you.

Hello, Honey here.  I am a cute small fawn girlie but am very muscular.  I am approximately 1-2 years old and have the most adorable face.  I have docked tail and natural ears.  I am a bit skiddish but will warm up to you once I know you can be trusted.  I am working on my housetraining, crate training, and leash walking skills.
