Abner - Deaf - Adopted
Adopted
Bryn-Adopted
Bryn is new to the program and is approximately 3 yrs old and about 40-45 pounds. She is a beautiful flashy girl that has not been socialized around other dogs. She will play with non-dominate males and she plays well with Cassie & Penny, but will not be going to a home with females. She will be placed as an only dog for she wants all the attention, toys, treats for herself. She will not be going to a home with young children because of her addiction to toys and treats, they must be over the age of 7. She is fully housetrained and appears to have very good house manners. She is very energetic and eager to please, she just wants to be loved. There should be no cats in her new home, for she doesn't care for them. Adopted
Allie-Adopted
Meet my new family.
Allie and her friends Blossom & Peanut These are shelter pics and we will be getting some better pictures of this sweet little girl very soon.
Allie is 6 months old.
She is very new to the rescue program and came from a local shelter. She was surrendered to the shelter with a cast
on her rear leg that had been on way to long and was also very wet inside. The vet that cut the cast off said she has
some soft tissue damage and muscle loss but will be just fine given some TLC and time. She may or may not have full
use of her rear leg and may carry it from time to time. We will have to wait and see if she can develope muscle again
and what her pain level may be. She is fully hearing, gets along well with other dogs, cats are unknown at this time.
She is very sweet and loveable. We will post more on Little Allie as we learn all about her. Adopted
Sugar Baby-Adopted
Meet my new family. Aren't they small and precious.
Adoption Donation: None, we are looking for the perfect home where this loving lady can spend the rest of her days, months, and hopefully years.
Penny - Adopted
Meet my new family. Do I look happy or what?
I am Penny, I am a beautiful brindle girl with some unusual stripping. I am 18-24 months old. I am looking
for a new home again since my family is being deployed and I am again homeless for I cannot go with them. I am housetrained
and crate trained, and have been through obedience classes. I am a wonderul little girl who gets along well with children
of all ages, my other family had a 3 yr old son who was my best friend. I also get along very well with other dogs and
love to play. I am at a loss here in rescue for I don't completely understand what has happened but am actively
seeking a new family to love and care for me. Adopted Duke-Adopted
I am known as Duke. I am a very pretty flashy brindle boy of about 4 years old. I get along well with other dogs and kids as you can see in my pics. I also get along with cats. I love to be loved on and really enjoy playing with you. I am housetrained, have good manners and like my crate. I also enjoy the sofa and bed if you'll let me. I am one very nice boy that can fit into almost any family. Please hurry -- I need lovin. Adopted

Nash-Adopted
This is me and Sandi, I am the one not jumping. Nash is new to the rescue program. He is appx. 2 years old and a very sweet and loving boy. He loves to be with you. He is laid back for such a young boxer boy and is very content sitting by your side. He seems to get along well with the females in his foster home and we have learned that he does not want any cats in his new home. We will be posting more as we learn where his manners are and housetraining skills lay. He will be starting his vetting shortly. Please check back on Nash as we learn all about him. Adopted
Frankie-Adopted

Lucy-Adopted 2-5-07 Look at me now!
Lucy is a check boxer that just came in from a kill shelter. She is approximately 2 years old, gets along well with other dogs. She is very scared of everything and will need time and patience to relieve her fears. Life has not dealt her a good hand until now. She has started her treatment for demodex and will be one beautiful girl in time. We have also found out that she is an escape artist. She can clear a 6 ft privacy fence with no problem. She believes everyone is out to hurt her and will require some special care. We will be posting more pics as she improves and regains some trust in humans again. Lucy does not do well with cats and would need a home without them. Adopted
Kelli-Adopted
Kelli is a gorgeous young flashy brindle girl looking for a new home. Look at this beautiful little face, how could someone not come looking for her at a high kill shelter? She appears to be housetrained and is learning what crate training is all about. She gets along well with other dogs, cats are unknown. We will be posting an update from foster family very shortly as they learn all about Miss Kelli. Adopted
Nelson-Adopted
4-5-07 Update from Foster Home: Nelson still has his puppy charm and mischief. He is a high energy little guy that loves to run and play, when he gets enough exercise his manners are great as he is very willing to please and learn new tricks. He will do wonderful in a home that is active as he wants to be busy playing and following his people around. We don’t have children, but we think he would respond well to someone his own size to buddy around with. Nelson will need to be the only dog in his new home as he has shown some jealousy and is not patient with his foster siblings and he might be too rough right now for small children (under 5 or so). He is crated during the day, but is housebroken and has a dog door that he uses when we are at home. Although he isn’t allowed to sleep with us, he tries it often just in case we will change our mind, but always winds up sleeping on his dog bed with all 4 paws in the air. Hey, I'm Nelson. I am proximately 9-10 months old and a gorgeous dark flashy fawn boy. The nice rescue ladies do not know much about me at this point, but they will learn and promised to post more ALL ABOUT ME. I am just so thankful to be out of that high kill shelter I was in. One thing they do know is I am not a cat guy, I just cannot leave them alone. Please check back on me to learn all about me. Adopted
Petie-Adopted

Rocco-Adopted
I'm known as Rocco and this nice young lady helped me get my pictures today at Petsupermart. I am brand new to the rescue program. I was the one that was pushed out of a car on I64 in Louisville. Thank goodness a nice caring person seen it and picked me up before I got hit. I am a very sweet guy and just can't imagine why that happened to me, but I am safe and unharmed. I am a big guy and so LOVEABLE. I am approximately 2-4 years old and appear to be housetrained. The rescue ladies will post more about me as they learn. Adopted
Hanson-Adopted
Adopted Bella07-Adopted Hi Kelly, I'm sorry it's taken this long for me to get a picture to
you. Things have been great for me here. I have won over both cats. My bestfriend and play buddy's name
is Zach ( I want to get pictures of us for you to see). Zach is 4 and my Mom and Dad's grandbaby. Mom and
Dad are letting me run in the field...I have 25 acres plus Zachary's place next door to run on. I get to run every
night....Mom or Dad get on the four wheeler (which I absolutely get so excited about I've been know to wet on myself)
and they run me around the farm. We are attending the Boxer Buddies meetups. This month it is going to be in my
town of Murfreesboro, we have a Bark Park
and I hope to meet tons of new boxer friends. I will be sending more pictures soon.....Love and licks, Bella
Bella had been adopted and was returned to rescue through no fault of her own. Her owners were being transferred and she was unable to go. She is a young flashy brindle girl that is a real cuddle bug. She is house trained, crate trained and has good manners. She loves kids, does great with other dogs and is very playful. She will make a great addition to some lucky family. Adopted
Buddy07-Adopted (OSCAR) *****
As an update,
he is gaining weight and growing in energy. He is a wonderful companion - very smart and good natured. He adores other dogs
and follows his people constantly. He is housebroken and crate trained. He comes and goes through the pet door with the other
dogs, but he has escaped the fenced yard once so we only leave him uncrated when we're home for his safety. He is learning
to play (he did not know how when he came), and runs faster than any dog I've ever seen. He's a beautiful dog that
we're growing quite attached to! My name is Buddy, the vet thinks I am about 18 months old but I my foster mom says I act much older. She says I must be a lover, not a player. I don’t play with the other dogs in my foster home, but I like them and follow them around a lot. I don’t potty in the house, I have a dog door at my new foster home, but I won’t go out alone I need at least one of my new friends to go out with me. Right now I need a lot of people attention petting me and telling me I’m good. I eat like I’m a hungry dog, but I won’t drink out of my water bowl unless someone tell me to. Adopted

Adopted
Renamed Sadie by New Family! Here is an update from the mom: I first want to apologize for my delay in sending this. I have always had the
intention of sending updated pics of "Sadie" to show her beautiful transformation. I did not have a digital camera and did not put forth the effort to make other
arrangements. Thank goodness I received one for Christmas and now have several of digital files of Sadie. I wanted to make sure to send them to you all so you
can see how much different she looks. Her pics on the website are kind of sad to look at. I was hoping these pics could be
added to show that she is so much healthier now. She has truly been a joy to our family. We immediately enrolled her in the puppy training
program at PetSmart. That helped a ton. We still work on some of her behaviors, but we really could not have
asked for a better dog. I have 2 boys that play with her constantly and she shows how much she loves them. We have had a few health issues with Sadie, but nothing that we can't get
through. We have found that she has Epilepsy. The vet says that she does not have seizures frequently enough or violent enough
to medicate. So we just continue to watch her closely and try to stop any of the factors that may contribute to the seizures.
Since it has been cooler, she has only had one seizure since September. We are very grateful for that.
Attached please
find the latest pics of our beautiful girl. Please send this to Glenda because she was wonderful to work with. She and her
husband were so helpful through the process. I can't thank them enough for the care they give. I would really like them
to know that all is well. Sincerely,
Melissa
Mercedes just came into the rescue program. Note from Foster Mom: She is about 15 months old, fawn with a white chest. she is small in size with a very sweet face and attitude. She walks well on a short lead, but like to do a jumping deer impression when you give her a longer lead. She currently is under weight, but is eating well, so I expect her to fill out quickly. Adopted
Sable-Adopted
Meet Sable Sutton's New Family - what a lucky little girl!
Sable is approximately 1 to 1.5 years old. She is a beautiful flashy brindle girl. She was picked up as a stray by a local kill shelter and was never reclaimed. She is very sweet and loving and just wants a little kindness and attention. She rides very well in the car and seems to have some very nice manners. She does not like cats and will not go to a home where there are kitties. We are still learning about little Sable and will update as we learn. Adopted
2 Bonded Sisters Roxie and Rosie-Adopted Together
Roxie and Rosie bonded sisters ended up in a high kill shelter, we don't understand why. They are 5 years old, have exceptional house manners and have been obedience trained. They are perfect girls in every way. They get along well with other dogs and are so loving and gentle. We want to keep these 2 girls together if possible. You cannot ask for better companions than these 2. They have been cat tested and seem to not mind them being in the household. Adoption Donation: Adopted
Rex07-Adopted
Rex seems
to be housebroken - he's not even had one accident in the house. He's high energy and likes to play (very puppish).
While still a little wild and crazy (puppish),he is very attentive and willing to be trained. We DO NOT trust him left alone
to his own curiousities and devices by any means at this point! He gets along well with my two senior female dogs (although
they as well as we correct him when he becomes irritating for them). He uses
the pet door to go outside on his own and is very proud of that (when we are home), and he's learning to walk on a leash
(heeling) very well. He stays in a large crate/kennel inside while we are away working and pees in it lightly (who can
blame him). He sleeps and mingles well with the other dogs, prefering the couch to the floor! He looked very malnutritioned
(starved)when he came to us, but he's slowly gaining weight with regular meals and evening bones. He's gaining his
strength back with rest, cold medication, and a non stressful enviroment. He's absolutely adorable and will make a wonderful family dog! Whitney Adopted

I-Max-Adopted His foster mom is unable to let him go- He is HOME!
1-16-07 I-Max was adopted and had a wonderful home. Their youngest son became very sick and was rushed to the hospital a few days later and was hospitalized. The doctor determined he was highly allergic and it was brought on by adding a dog to the household. I-Max is looking for a new home to call his own. I-Max is new to the program. He is a beautiful high flashy boy of 6 years old. He is a wonderful boy who is very loving and only wants to please. His vetting is complete and he is ready to share his love with a new family. He gets along with other dogs but cats are unknown. MY STORY: MY NAME IS I-MAX I'M 6 YEARS OLD AND FULL OF LOVE . Maggie-Adopted I am a eight year old female girl that is in need
of a new home. I am house trained, and I don't even need a crate. I am good with other male dogs but
not females. I also get along well with the kitties. Please consider a senior for your home.
We seniors are easy to acclimate into a new home and we are really no trouble at all. Just give me food, water and LOVE
and I will make you the happiest person on this earth - promise. Adopted
Charity-Adopted
12-5-07 UPDATE: Charity is using her bad leg wonderfully now that she is healthier and wanting to really play with the other dogs. She will have a little different gait but is doing so very well. She is also getting the housetraining thing down and is doing very well for such a young pup. This little girl is truely amazing and so very smart. She will be required to attend puppy classes so that she can learn her manners and the new owners can learn to train her in a positive manner. Charity is only 4 weeks old and will not be ready for several more weeks. She came into rescue as an owner surrender. The mother refused to feed and care for her and the owners vet suggested sending her to the bridge. She is a wonderful little girl who certainly deserves a chance. She has a bad leg that is a little malformed but the vet thinks she will use it as she grows but will have a funny gait. She is currently using her 3 other legs and is doing wonderful. She will be on the small side. Please keep checking back on little Charity. Adopted

Adopted
Payge-Adopted
Payge is a beautiful flashy girl that was rescued from a bad situation. She was being kept outside on a chain because she chewed on the ladies plants and a neighbor rescued her from the chain. She is a very loving girl of a year or less, has lots of energy, housetrained, but not very good manners. She is learning but will take time for it to sink in. She could use a good obedience class with new family so they can learn how to train and she can learn to trust them and obey. She is up to date on her vaccines and spayed. Are you the right family for beautiful Payge?
Winter-Adopted (aka Buffy)
Hi Sandie, I wanted to give you an update on Winter, who is
now called Buffy. She is doing great. You would not have believed how seamless her introduction was to the family.
It is truly strange to think she has only been with us a few days. Buffy is already playing, eating, sleeping and
using the bathroom on the household schedule. We plan to continue using the crate while we are gone from the house but
she is doing wonderful. Attached are some pictures of Buffy with my two dogs. As you can see from the pictures,
she is getting along just fine with my two. The one picture is of Buffy curled up with my male bulldog mix and the other
is Buffy resting her head on my 12 year old female mutt. Thanks for your assistance in making this adoption happen.
Tell Anita, I will send some better pictures in the future. It is hard to snap Buffy's picture unless she is sleeping.
Heather Burns
I am being called Winter. I am approximately 9-10 months old and very loveable. I am very thin at the moment but the rescue ladies have assured me that won't last for long. I will be fed 3 times a day and get supplements. I have one brown eye and one blue. My pretty blue looks funny in my pic but it is a light blue. More will be posted about me as they learn. I am getting my vetting done 1-8-07 and will be available shortly. Please check back to see how I progress. Adopted

Harmony-Adopted
12-5-07 UPDATE: Harmony is much healthier now and trying very hard on getting the housetraining issue down. She is a real looker, very sweet and loveable. We are currently trying to get new pictures so you can see how great she looks. Harmony is new to the program. Everyone worked really hard on trying to get this little girl from a kill shelter and into rescue. She is approximately 1.5-2 years old. She came in with a skin condition and has had a skin scrape, her problem comes from malnutrition. She has received all her vaccines and is heartworm negative. She will have to obtain a healthier level before her spay. She will be a LOOKER once she is healthier and a few pounds can be added. More will be posted as we learn all about little Harmony. Adopted
Jersey-Adopted
Jersey is new to the rescue program. She is approximately 9 yrs old and has been with the same owner since puppyhood. How she ended up abandoned with the owner moving out of state and leaving her in an empty house, no one knows. She was very hungry when she was picked up by the sister and released to rescue. She is a cropped and docked lady who is set in her ways. She is wonderful, good manners, housetrained, loving and quite irresistable. We would love to find her a home where she can be the queen again, preferably without to many other dogs and no very small children. Jersey gets along very well with the kitty cats. Adoption Donation: $150.00 or will waiver some for the right home.

Kia-Adopted Her foster dad is unable to let her go. She is home and they are very happy.
Kia is a new lady to the rescue. She is a beautiful dark flashy brindle lady who is approximately 10+ years old. She was turned into the shelter because the lady who owned her had a heart attack and will be going into assisted living when she is out of the hospital. Kia is fully housetrained, has great manners and is looking for a new home. She doesn't have a problem with other dogs and is in great health for her age. She doesn't understand what has happened to her family and why she has been displaced. Can you offer this girl a loving home and family of her own? Adoption Donation: Donation is waived in order for Kia to find just the right home to spend the rest of her life in. Please consider a senior boxer lady.

Olive-Special Needs-Adopted 7-13-07 Olive went to Rainbows Bridge.
Olive has a rather sad story for an older lady. We were contacted by a lady that said she has found a boxer girl that had an injured leg. She had tried finding the owner and finally found someone who knew something about the dog. The owner just moved off and left poor old Olive there to fend for herself. She had been running loose for a couple weeks and the neighbors would not feed her. Thank goodness this lady cared enough to try and help Olive. We picked her up and she is indeed old, over 10 yrs possibly 11-12. She has seen the vet and is healthy other than being way to thin, but does have an old injury to her back leg that she carries. She does have arthritis in her feet and has a little problem getting up and down, we have her on pain meds. The meds are the best that the vet can do at this point because of her age. She is a very well mannered lady and only wants a little attention from you. She is having a problem getting along with the other dogs now, we are unsure if her pain level has increased or she has just become more settled in her foster home and just doesn't want anything to do with the other dogs. She is very thankful to be in a house again with a dog bed to lay on. There will be no adoption donation for Olive - we are currently seeking a home that can let her live whatever time she has remaining in comfort with some Tender Loving Care. A home that can offer her a nice cozy warm bed to lay on and rest her weary head, a home where she can get some gentle rubbing and attention, a home that can give her plenty to eat to build her strength back up.
