and crate trained. He gets along well with other dogs and walks nicely on leash. Adoption Donation: $260.00 Max: Adopted Max is obviously not a boxer, but BlueGrass Boxer Rescue is assisting his family with finding him a new home. Max is being rehomed because his family doesn’t not feel they can give him the time and attention he needs. He was found last summer abandoned in a dumpster, where he would have died had his family not heard his cries. He was estimated to be about 4 weeks old when he was found. He currently lives with two small children and plays nicely with other dogs, large and small. He is house broken and crate trained. Despite his young age, he does not chew on things, like most puppies. Max is a very big boy weighing in at 72lbs. Max’s family had a private trainer come to their home to work on basic obedience and manners. Max knows all his basic commands and walks nicely on a leash. If you take him for a walk, don’t forget his water. Max loves to drink from a water bottle. His family describes him as friendly, active, playful, and smart.

He was picked up as a stray and no one ever came to the shelter to claim him. Cash is very lucky that he made it to rescue safely. He is lucky because he is deaf, which made him even more vulnerable being on his own. Cash is looking for his second chance with a family that will keep him safe and love him forever. He is housebroken, crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. Cash is adjusting nicely to his foster home and his foster sisters. He is beginning to learn his basic signs for sit, down, stay, no, and good boy. Owning a deaf dog is not near as hard as one might think, you just communicate in a different way. We will require Cash be adopted into a home with a fenced yard. Cash is being fostered in Florence, KY Jessie:

you. Duke is

a home with no cats or small dogs. Cora: Adopted
Cora is a 11 week old Boxer pup. She was
purchased from a backyard breeder & then entered rescue just days later due to a family member’s
allergies. Cora is a typical Boxer puppy that needs to learn basic obedience,
manners, house training, crate training & walking nicely on lead.

He needs a little work with his leash manners, but some with some consistent work he will be a great walking partner. Nealon is being fostered in Louisville, KY. Sebastian: Adopted
Joey: Adopted Through no fault of his own, Joey was surrendered to an Indiana shelter by his family due to medical and financial issues. Joey is 4 years old and in need of a second chance. He is housebroken and crate trained. He gets along fine with other dogs as long as he is allowed a slow introduction. He would do fine in a home with or without other dogs. All Joey really wants is to be sitting next to his family on a comfy bed. Joey does have a peculiar style of playing that might scare some people. To get you to play with him, he barks and dances all around you. He means no harm, but he tends to be a little rough which is intimidating if you don’t know Joey. He would probably be best in a home with children who are older (10yr+) and who would not be intimidated by him. He does love kids, but is a little much for young children. Joey loves to play with toys out in the yard, one of his favorites is tug-o-war…and he always wins.

She loves attention and giving kisses. Bailee hasn’t had any potty accidents in the house yet. She goes out to potty, then comes right back in. Bailee needs to work on her leash walking, she tends to pull. She doesn't go in her crate by herself, but doesn’t seem to mind it once she is in the crate. She is a bit of a jumper still, she likes to jump on you and the furniture. Bailee will continue to work on this and responds well to correction. With some consistent work, Peyton will make a great addition to an active family. Please consider your lifestyle before applying to adopt Peyton. Puppies are a big time commitment and Peyton will need a home that has the time and attention to dedicate to training. Peyton is being fostered in Owensboro, KY Stormy: Adopted ![]() ![]() Stormy is 3 1/2 years old. Stormy will need a home without cats. Stormy has mastered housetraining, crate training & has learned to sit on command for a treat & attention. Stormy enjoys children but will do best in a home with children 9 years & older due to her high energy level. Lady Godiva: Adopted My name is Lady Godiva, which means “God’s Gift.” My foster family likes to call me Diva most of the time, because I act like a little diva. I’m just about 4 months old and was found as a stray in Northern KY. I still have my natural tail which just adds to my personality. I have a lot of work ahead of me, since I’m just a young girl. I’m beginning my work on potty training and crate training. My foster mom says I need to start learning basic obedience and improve my manners. Like any puppy, I like to jump, bite ankles, and CHEW. I’m not a bad girl; I’m just a puppy who has a few things to learn. I love to play with other dogs; both large and small, cats are unknown. If you have room in your heart and your home, consider giving me, Diva, my forever home. Puppies are a big time commitment. Please consider your lifestyle before applying to adopt Diva. Diva is being fostered in Florence, KY Pauley: Adopted Pauley is such a sweet boy. He is approximately 3 years old and so handsome. He was picked up as a stray, but it is obvious he knows about living in the house. He "boxes" with his boxer foster sister until she lets him know playtime is over, and then he's ready for a nap. Pauley loves being close and will manage to get his head and front legs in your lap and just "hang out" hugging for awhile. He has a comical under bite, and sometimes his tongue sticks out of his mouth a little. He did escape his cage one day and did not get into any trouble while unsupervised in the house. At this point he doesn't like the crate, but we will work on that. Pauley needs a little work on leash walking, but there is no doubt he will be very good on lead in no time. He is such a pretty walker….he lifts his legs like he is prancing about so proud. Pauley will also sit for a treat. He is heartworm negative and will be neutered soon. When approached by a small dog Pauley does fine. He is also fine with older children and we will see how he does with younger children soon. Pauley is new to us, but already clearly a super boy. Pauley is being fostered in Paducah, KY. Adoption Donation: $260.00 Scout: Adopted Scout is a beautiful 2 year old male boxer. He is housebroken and crate trained. Scout is great with other dogs, both large and small. He loves to play with his toys and also enjoys running around the yard with other dogs. He loves to go for car rides and sits nicely in the car. Scout is good with children of any age, but of course he is a young boxer so he could knock a young child down unintentionally. He will follow you all around the house; he truly just wants to be close to his family. Scout will happily sleep in the bed with you if you let him. With a training collar, he walks nicely on leash. Scout is an exceptional young boxer, who would make a great additional to any home. Scout is being fostered in Cincinnati, OH Adoption
Donation: $260.00 Roxie: Adopted Roxie is two years old and
was surrendered to an Indiana shelter because she was a little too energetic for her family. She is fully housebroken and
crate trained. She is good with other dogs, cats are unknown. Roxie LOVES having another dog to play with.
Roxie would do well in a home with children of any age. She is on the petite side, weighing just under 50 pounds. The
only thing Roxie does not like is other dogs getting close to her food, and we will be working with her on this behavior.
She would need to be fed either in her crate or away from other dogs. She does not mind if people take
away or get close to her food. If you are looking for a happy go lucky female boxer, Roxie might just be
the girl for you. Adoption Donation: $260.00 Barnaby: Adopted Matilda: Adopted Katie: Adopted Katie is new to rescue and in the process of getting her vetting updated. She is 2 years old, housebroken, and crate trained. We will post more details on Katie as we have them. Gunni: Adopted Gunni
is a typical 10 month old boxer boy. He is quite big at 70 lbs. and is NOT done growing. He is housebroken and crate trained.
Gunni gets along well with all dogs, both large and small. He does need to work on his manners a little, but this is
typical of a boxer his age. He needs a home with an active family who has the time and energy to dedicate to him. Because
of his age and his size, he would probably do best in a home with older children...10+ years. Gunni will
make a great addition to the right home. Adoption Donation: $300.00 Mac: Adopted
![]() ![]() Mac is approximately 1 year old and such a snuggle bug. He LOVES to hang out with his foster family on the couch and have his ears rubbed. Mac is such a joy to have around the house, and will bond quickly with a new family. He gets along great with all dogs, both large and small. Mac appears to be potty trained, but we are still in the process of determining where he stands with crate training. Since he is on the thin side, he is a little protective of his food around other dogs. He loves kids and would do well in a home with kids of any age. Mac rides really well in the car and hops in as soon as the door opens. Mac will fit nicely into almost any home. Mac is being fostered in Paducah, KY. Adoption Donation: $260.00 Shae ![]() Shae was found abandoned in a field; scared, emaciated, and with a broken leg. Shae is less than a year old and only weighed 28 pounds when she came into rescue. She needed orthopedic surgery to repair her leg, which was fractured in two places. Because Shae's health was so poor, her surgery had to be postponed. Shae is doing much better now that her leg has been repaired. It will still be several weeks before Shae is ready for adoption, but she would love to have her forever family waiting when she is ready for adoption. She is good with other dogs and kids. Shae is fully house and crate trained. She listens very well and knows her basic commands. Shae is a petite little girl, who will do good in almost any home. Shae is being fostered in Owensboro, KY Adoption Donation: $260.00 Dolly: Adopted Dolly is soon to be 6 years old. She is a calm, quiet and sweet girl.
We have had Dolly allergy tested & found that she does best on a widely available Adult Lamb Meal & Rice
dry food. Also, Dolly underwent lateral ear resection surgery on both ears which has helped quite a bit.
In addition, Dolly also requires an inexpensive anti-inflammatory medicine every other day for her allergies. She
enjoys children & is very calm & gentle with them. Dolly occasionally likes to play with toys & she never
bothers household items. Her foster mom says she is the easiest dog to care for. She really wants to please you
& has a lot of love to give. Dolly is crate trained, housetrained, walks well on a leash, & has good house manners.
She also knows basic commands. Adoption Donation: $235.00
Sterling: Adopted Sterling is only a year & a half old & obviously hasn't had an easy start in life. She came to us with a staph infection of her skin & advanced Demodectic mange. It's amazing to see how once she's been on medications, getting baths, and dips her skin is immediately improving & her hair is already coming back in. Her condition will improve at an even faster rate once she is spayed. She is very friendly & gets along with all the dogs in her foster home, male/female, small/large. Sterling is working on house training, crate training, & basic commands. Sterling will be available for adoption as soon as her health returns & all necessary vetting is completed. Sterling is being fostered in Paducah, KY Adoption Donation:

I love to play with other dogs, children & anyone who likes to play with me! I will need a home without cats or small dogs. I greet people nicely as I don't jump up on them. I don't chew up your household & personal belongings, although I will need to be crated when you leave the home so I don’t get myself in trouble. I am smart & very trainable. I have already learned how to offer my paw for a shake just since coming into my foster home. I could benefit from a basic obedience class to help me channel my energy & hone my social skills. Skip is being fostered in Paducah, KY. Adoption

foster mom has quickly gotten his itching under control with good food and much needed medicated baths. He is very smart
boy and corrects quickly. Blaze stays very calm in the house, and likes to follow his foster mom around the house.
He leads very well when there are no other animals around, but does pull when he sees other dogs or people. A head halter

Charlie is crate trained and great on leash. Charlie is being fostered in Louisville, KY Achilles: Adopted Achilles just turned 3 yrs old & is needing to find her forever home. She is also quite a bit calmer than Stormy, but both have the high energy level typical of young boxers. Achilles sits on command & will easily offer her paw to you. I love my new foster home and I am getting along well with the other dogs. Here is what my foster mom says about me: I arrived at my foster family on 5/23. I get along okay with my foster family's boxer
boys. They have this thing they call a 'kitty', I just can't figure it out. I sniff it as much as I can until
I'm told to leave it alone and I do. They tell me I'm a good boy all the time and that I walk good on the leash.
I am trying to be a good boy. I get a little excited with all of the new attention and I get the wiggles. I need a home
with lots of love and no small children. Are you my forever family? Merkel: Adopted Merkel is a sweet older lady. She was turned in by her owners because she is too old. I am good with kids of all ages. I will need a home without other large breed male dogs. My human foster siblings have nicknamed me "Harry" since my hair is longer than your average boxer. I look like and act like a purebred boxer except for my long hair. Oh well, it is okay to be a little different. I am so cute when I eat! I like to lay down when I eat with the bowl between my front legs...I like to take my time eating and really enjoy my food. Adoption Donation: $175.00 Sasha: Adopted I'm Sasha and I was purchased on impulse from a breeder who was selling me & my littermates in the Wal-Mart parking lot. After only 3 days, I found myself in a foster home for the local shelter. I’m told that I was too active, and that’s why I ended up in the shelter. I'm only 8 weeks old & a Boxer. What did they expect? I’m already learning how to tell my rescue foster mom that I need to go potty & will sit for a treat if you are patient with me. I am a typical Boxer puppy, full of energy, curiosity & antics. I need lots of time & attention from my people in order to learn how to be a good family member. Please don't apply to adopt me unless you have the time & lifestyle to accommodate a very young Boxer. You will also need to take me to a basic obedience class in order to take adopt me, no exceptions. I won't leave rescue until I've had enough vaccinations for me to not get sick & after I've been spayed. Sasha is being fostered in Owensboro,

back for details on Allie. Sherman: Adopted Sherman
came into rescue from a local shelter after being hit by a car. Sherman had a broken pelvis and had to have
excess air drained from his lungs multiple times. Sherman is approximately 1 year old. He should heal very well, but
may have a slight limp in rear leg. It is too early to tell, but he might have a slight limp once he is all healed.
Despite his circumstances, Sherman is such a wonderful boy. He appears to be housetrained and has the sweetest personality.
Sherman is so loving and craves attention. He is wanting to play, but must spend quite a lot of time crated to heal
properly. Once Sherman heals, he will be neutered and ready for adoption. He would love to have his forever family waiting
on him once he is ready to go. We will post more pictures and updates as Sherman heals. Adoption Donation: $250.00 Barbie: Adopted Barbie is approximately 4 years old. She
came into rescue positive for Heartworms & is completing treatment. Barbie loves all people & is doing well
with the male & most female boxers in her foster home. She shows her excitement when greeting new people by curling
up & wiggling all over. Barbie is housetrained & is working on crate training. Barbie is not suited for
apartment living since she is pretty vocal while in the crate & also when she wants to play. She likes to bark when
roughhousing & also likes to nibble at the sleeves of a jacket or long sleeved shirt. She has been known to pick
up shoes & carry them around. So far she hasn't chewed any household items. Barbie walks pretty well on
leash & responds to the sit command. Her foster family is working with her on other commands & basic house manners
also. Barbie would like to have an adoptive family waiting for her after her heartworm treatment is completed.
She will be ready to leave rescue after her spay is done on January 4. Barbie is being fostered in Paducah, KY Adoption Donation: $250.00 Enter subhead content here Enter content here Enter content here Enter content here |
