Due to the high volume of boxers needing rescue, our owner surrender policy has changed. Our rescue's #1 priority is taking boxers from shelters who are going to be killed.  From time to time we can take boxers from owners, but right now there are more boxers waiting to die in shelters than we can even help.  However, we still might be able to help you...here are your options.

1) You could surrender your boxer to us, but he/she would need to remain in your home until adopted.  Essentially, you would be the "foster home".  We would post your boxer on our website and screen all the potential adopters.  Once surrendered to us, any potential adopters would have to go though our adoption process. All boxers surrendered to us need to be up to date on vaccinations, started on heartworm preventative, and spayed or neutered.  All boxers will be temperament tested by a BGBR volunteer prior to surrender. We do not accept aggressive boxers.

2) The second option would be to simply post your boxer on our "courtesy page".  With this option the owner screens all potential homes and places the dog in the home of their choosing.  We simply post the boxer on our website but are not involved in the adoption of the boxer.

Use caution if you should choose to post your boxer on a website like Craigslist. Unscrupulous individuals frequently search websites like this for pets. They may misrepresent themselves or their intentions for the boxer. If you choose to take your boxer to your local shelter, please know they are not required to find an adoptive home for your boxer. Boxers surrendered to shelters can immediately be euthanized if the shelter is crowded or if they feel your boxer is not very adoptable.

Please read our owner surrender policy above before filling out form.
